11:17 AM: Buster Olney also reports the deal is complete. He also states that the A's will pay 1.5 million of Holliday's contract leaving the remainder 4.5 million to the Cardinals.
11:10 AM: Bernie Miklasz says the teams are reviewing medical record, and it will go down barring any medical concerns.
11:07 AM: Ed Prices tells us the deal will go down, and their finalizing it now.
11:00 AM: Jon Heyman says the deal is very close to being finalized.
Update: Outfielder Shane Peterson and righty Clayton Mortensen are also headed to Oakland if the deal goes through. Its still unclear how the money for Holliday will be spread between teams, also the Cards might want the A's to pay Wallaces signing bonus.
According to Tim Kurkjian; the Cardinals are really close to acquiring Matt Holliday from the A's for Brett Wallace and two other players.
