B & G's 9/13/09

Baseballs:

**Kyle Kendrick, Philadelphia Phillies-Game One- Kyle threw 7 1/3 innings, giving up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 1, struck out 3 and now has a 3.55 ERA, winning his 1st game of the season.

**John Buck, Kansas City Royals- John went 2-4 and he hit his 7Th Home Run of the year, driving in 2 run, giving him 33 RBIs and he is hitting .217.

**Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox- Game One- Dustin went 2-4 and he connected on his 13Th Home Run of the season, to give the Red Sox the lead for good. He has 63 RBIs after driving in 2 runs and he is hitting .297.

**Pete Orr, Washington Nationals- Pete went 2-4 with a walk and double. He hit his 1st Home Run of the season, driving in 2 runs giving him 8 RBIs, he now is hitting .326.

**Hideki Matsui, New York Yankees- Matsui went 3-5, hit his 24Th Home Run of the season, he drove in 5 runs, giving him 81 RBIs. Hideki is now hitting .275.

**Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers- Miguel went 2-3 with 2 walks and he drove in his 89Th run and is now hitting .335.

**Paul Maholm, Pittsburgh Pirates- Paul threw 8 shutout innings, he walked 2, struck out 2 and now has a 4.51 ERA, winning his 8Th game.

**Adam Laroche, Atlanta Braves- Adam went 2-5, with a double and hit his 23rd Home Run of the season, he drove in 3 runs, giving him 70 RBIs and is now hitting .273.

**Ted Lilly, Chicago Cubs- Ted threw 6 shutout innings, he walked 2, struck out 7 and now has a 3.05 ERA, giving him 12 wins.

**Brian Duensing, Minnesota Twins- 7 shutout innings, he walked 3, struck out 6 and now has a 3.53 ERA with 3 wins.

**Torii Hunter, LA Angels- Torii went 1-3 and that hit gave his team a win, he hit his 21st Home Run of the season, driving in his 82Nd run of the year and he is hitting .309.

**Tommy Hunter, Texas Rangers- Game One- Tommy threw a complete game, giving up 1 run (1 earned), he walked 1, struck out 3, he now has a 3.23 ERA winning his 8Th game of the season.

**Tony Gwynn Jr.- San Diego Padres- He did what he had to do, hit a sacrifice fly to drive in his 15Th run and he lifted the Padres to a win. He went 1-2 and is now hitting .256.

**Brad Penny, San Francisco Giants- Throwing against his former team, he threw 7 strong innings, giving up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 2, struck out 2, and now has a 5.04 ERA winning his 10Th game and more importantly, avoiding the sweep from the Dodgers.

**Prince Fielder, Milwaukee Brewers- Prince went 2-4 and hit his 39Th Home Run of the season, and with that 1 RBI, he ties Cecil Cooper's franchise record of 126 RBIs. Prince is now hitting .301.

**Jon Lester, Boston Red Sox- Game Two- Jon threw 8 shutout innings, he walked 3, struck out 7, and now has a 3.29 ERA with 13 wins.

**Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners- Game Two- Felix threw 7 shutout innings, he walked 1, struck out 5, lowered his ERA to 2.52 with 15 wins.

**Pedro Martinez, Philadelphia Phillies- Game Two- Pedro threw 8 shutout innings, he walked 2, struck out 7, won his 5Th game and has a 2.87 ERA.

Goofballs:

**Ted Stoner, New York Mets- Game One- Gave up 2 Home Runs, he threw 3 innings, gave up 3 runs (3 earned), he walked 1, struck out 3 and now has a 6.75 ERA.

**Indians Offense- Shut out again, only collected 2 hits, they did walk 7 times, struck out 5, but never could get the hits.

**Rays Offense- Game One- 1 run on 6 hits, they walked 3 times, struck out 8, leaving 7 men on base.

**Chris Volstad, Florida Marlins- Chris threw 3 innings, giving up 5 runs (4 earned), he walked 5, struck out 2, lost his 12Th game and now has a 5.17 ERA.

**Bob McCory, Baltimore Orioles- Bob didn't retire a batter, he gave up 4 runs (4 earned), he walked 1, didn't strike anyone out and he now has a 15.00 ERA.

**Josh Roenicke, Toronto Blue Jays- Josh threw an inning, giving up 3 runs (3 earned), he walked 3, struck out 1 and now has a 4.73 ERA.

**Astros Offense- Scored just 1 run on 8 hits, they walked 2, struck out 2 and left 5 men on base.

**Chris Carpenter, St. Louis Cardinals- Chris only lasted 6 innings, giving up 7 runs (7 earned), he walked 2, struck out 3 and he now has a 2.45 ERA, losing his 4Th game.

**Reds Offense- 2 runs, on 10 hits, they walked 2 times, and struck out 10, leaving 9 men on base.

**Gio Gonzales, Oakland Athletics- 3 innings, giving up 7 runs (7 earned), they walked 3, struck out 5 and now has a 6.31 ERA with 6 losses.

**White Sox Offense- 2 runs on 9 hits, they walked 3 times, struck out 2, and left 9 men on base.

**Doug Fister, Seattle Mariners- Game One- Doug threw 4 2/3 innings, giving up 5 runs (5 earned), he walked 1, struck out 1, and hit 2 Home Runs, giving him a 3.53 ERA.

**Rockies Offense- 3 runs, 6 hits, they struck out 13 times and left 7 men on base.

**Jeff Weaver, Los Angeles Dodgers- Threw 1 1/3 innings, giving up 4 runs (4 earned), he walked 1, struck out 2, and now has a 3.84 ERA.

**Daniel Schlereth, Arizona Diamondbacks- Daniel blew the lead and lost his 4Th game. He pitched 2/3 of an inning, giving up 4 runs (4 earned), he walked 1, struck out 2 and now has a 8.76 ERA.

**Rays Offense- Game Two- They have now lost 11 in a row and in the 2Nd game, they were shutout, only collecting 4 hits.

**Elvis Andrus, Texas Rangers- Game Two- Committed 2 errors, giving him 21 on the season.

**Mets Offense- Game Two- They were shut out, David Wright struck out 3 times and the Mets could only get 7 hits, 2 walks, 8 strikeouts and left 9 men on base.
