**Derek Lee, Chicago Cubs- Derek got the ball rolling in the 10Th inning with his 21st Home Run of the season. He finished off 4-6, drove in 3 runs, giving him 63 RBIs and now a .293 average.

Andrew is now hitting .293, and he is one of the bright spots for Pittsburgh. Let's face it, he is the reason they traded Nate McLouth, and he has earned the playing time.

**Tim Linecum, San Francisco Giants- I'll say it again, Tim Linecum is a stud pitcher, this wasn't his best outing, but he did what he had to do, shutting down the Phillies. He pitched 8 shutout innings, giving up 7 hits, walked 1 and struck out 8. Tim won his 12Th game and he now has a 2.18 ERA.

**Clayton Richard, San Diego Padres- He didn't get the win, but he certainly had to set the tone in his Padres debut. 5 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run (1 earned), he walked 3 and struck out 5. Clayton now has a 4.47 ERA. He has a bright future.

Goofballs:

**Jose Veras, Cleveland Indians- Jose lost his 2Nd game, he threw 1 inning, giving up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 2 and struck out 1. But what was worst, is the balk he gave up so the other run can score. Unacceptable.

Royals DFA Sidney Ponson

According to Bob Dutton; the Royals have designated starter Sidney Ponson for assignment.

Red Sox to Listen on Matsuzaka?

The Red Sox will probably listen to offers for Daisuke Matsuzaka this off-season. There's a hope Matsuzaka will return to success after injuries this season to help his trade value; writes Nick Cafardo.

Twins to search for Pitching

The Twins were hot for pitching before t he July 31st deadline; according to Joe Christensen. Twins GM Bill Smith told Christensen:
“There were very few relievers who got traded this week,” GM Bill Smith noted. “I won’t claim this, I read this the other day: Every team with a reliever was trying to turn a Larry Anderson into a Jeff Bagwell.”
The potential list of starters could be Jon Garland, Doug Davis, Kevin Correia and Miguel Batista.
