Draft Pick Deadline

The Deadline to sign MLB 2009 First Year Player Draft Picks is tomorrow night at midnight eastern. There are numerous first round picks who have yet to sign, most notably the first overall pick Steven Strasburg. The Washington Nationals have offered him record breaking money, be he has yet to bite. Here's the list of first round picks guys who have yet to sign:

The Brewers are about to sign supplemental draft pick Kentrail Davis.

Lou Pinella wants to return to the Cubs in 2010 and Jim Hendry says he has every intention of bringing him back if he wants to come back, Yahoo Sports.

The Angels sign 10th round pick Jake Locker.

Baseballs:

**Tom Gorzelanny, Chicago Cubs- Tom threw 5 solid innings on the mound against his former team. He gave up 1 run (1 earned), he walked 3 and struck out 8. Tom also made a contribution at the plate, going 1-2 with a run batted in, his 2ND of the season. Tom is batting .286 and he has a 5.24 ERA.

**Omar Infante, Atlanta Braves- Omar hit a walk off single, driving in his 12Th run and he finished up 1-2. Omar is now hitting .348.

**Bengie Molina, San Francisco Giants- Bengie went 3-4 with a Home Run and he got hit by a pitch. Bengie drove in 2 runs, giving him 63 RBIs and 15 Home Runs. Bengie is now hitting .265.

**Shin-Soo Choo, Cleveland Indians- Choo went 2-5 and started the runs with his 14Th Home Run of the season, he drove in 2 runs, giving him 64 on the season. Choo is hitting .294 on the year.

**Gavin Floyd, Chicago White Sox- Gavin threw 7 strong innings, winning his 10Th game of the year. He gave up 1 run (1 earned), he walked 2 and struck out 8. Gavin now has a 3.94 ERA.

**John Lackey, LA Angels- John threw 7 strong innings, giving up 1 run (1 earned), he walked 1 and struck out 6. John win his 8Th game and he now has a 3.73 ERA.

**Carlos Guillen, Detroit Tigers- Carlos finished up 3-5 and drove in 4 runs, including hitting his 4Th Home Run of the season. Carlos now has 20 RBIs and is hitting .244.

**Craig Counsell, Milwaukee Brewers- Craig went 3-5 with a triple and he drove in 3 runs. Craig has 29 RBIs and is hitting .294.

**Evan Longoria, Tampa Bay Rays- Evan went 2-4 with a walk, he drove in 2 runs, giving him 88 RBIs. Evan is now hitting .279.

**Alberto Gonzales, Washington Nationals- Alberto went 2-5 with a double and 3 RBIs, giving him 26 on the season. Gonzales is now hitting .267.

**Julio Borbon, Texas Rangers- Julio had a career night going 4-5 with driving in 2 runs, giving him 3 RBIs on the season and he stole 4 bases, giving him 5 on the season. Borbon is now hitting .389.

**Joel Pinerio, St. Louis Cardinals- Joel threw 6 2/3 innings, giving up 3 runs (3 earned), he walked 1 and struck out 5. Joel won his 11Th game he now has a 3.25 ERA.

**Miguel Montrero, Arizona Diamondbacks- Miguel went 3-4 at the plate including a double and a Home Run, his 13Th of the season and he now has 41 RBIs. Miguel is now hitting .297.

**Derek Jeter, New York Yankees- Derek went 2-4 at the plate and his his 15Th Home Run of the season, driving in 2 runs, giving him 52 on the season. Derek also had a single in the game and is hitting .320.

Goofballs:

**Ronny Cedeno, Pittsburgh Pirates- Ronny had a tough day. he went 0-4 with 3 strikeouts and he committed his 7Th error of the season. Ronny is hitting .191 on the season.

**Brad Lidge, Philadelphia Phillies- Brad blew his 8Th save of the season, throwing 1/3 of an inning, he gave up 2 runs (1 earned), he walked 2 and struck out 1. Brad also committed his first 2 errors of the season and he now has a 7.27 ERA.

**Francisco Rodriguez, New York Mets- Francisco lost his 4Th game, giving up the Home Run to Bengie. He threw 2 innings, giving up 1 run (1 earned), Francisco now has a 3.33 ERA.

**Twins Offense- No clutch hitting, they left 11 men on base, scoring 3 runs on 11 hits.

**Athletics Offense- 1 run on 11 hits and 11 strikeouts, they left 10 men on base.

**Orioles Offense- 1 run on 9 hits, 2 walks, and 7 strikeouts, leaving 10 men on base.

**Luke Hochevar, Kansas City Royals- Luke threw 4 innings, giving up 6 runs (6 earned), he didn't walk anyone and struck out 4, giving up 2 Home Runs. Luke lost his 6Th game and he now has a 5.73 ERA.

**Alberto Arias, Houston Astros- Couldn't retire anyone, and he gave up 3 runs (3 earned), walking 1. Alberto now has a 3.50 ERA.

**Blue Jays Offense- the Jays were only able to score 3 runs on just 6 hits, they walked 4 times and struck out 8.

**Johnny Cueto, Cincinnati Reds- Johnny lasted just 2 2/3 innings, giving up 7 runs (7 earned), he didn't walk anyone, and struck out 1. Cueto now has a 4.61 ERA losing his 10Th game.

**Jason Varitek, Boston Red Sox- He allowed 8 stolen bases, just a horrible night in throwing and people wonder why the Red Sox picked up Victor Martinez. Varitek is simply not the player he used to be.

**Padres Offense- 4 runs on 9 hits, leaving 9 men on base.

**Ramon Troncoso, Los Angeles Dodgers- Ramon threw 1/3 of an inning, giving up the winning run and he walked 2 without striking anyone out. Ramon now has a 2.77 ERA and lost his 2Nd game.

**Mariners Offense- No clutch hitting, 2 runs, 10 hits, 3 walks, and 11 strikeouts, leaving 10 men on base.
