B & G's 9/12/09

Baseballs:

**Brian Roberts, Baltimore Orioles- Brian finished the afternoon 3-4 with a walk, he hit a Grand Slam Home Run, his 15Th of the year, he now has 73 RBIs, and he tied a franchise record with doubles. Brian has 51 doubles and is hitting .286.

**Drew Sutton, Cincinnati Reds- Drew came into the game and he got a pinch hit double in the 9Th inning, driving in the winning runs, giving him 7 RBIs. Sutton is now hitting .192.

**David Wright, New York Mets- David finished the day 3-5 with 2 Home Runs, giving him 10 on the season, he drove in 6 runs, now has 66 RBIs and a .318 average.

**Brian McCann, Atlanta Braves- Brian finished the day 3-5 and hit the big winning double to drive in 2 runs in the 9Th inning. Brian now has 79 RBIs and a .281 average.

**Cliff Pennington, Oakland Athletics- Cliff went 3-3 with a walk, he drove in his 13Th run of the season and is hitting .286.

**Scott Podsednik, Chicago White Sox- Scott gave the Sox a big lift in the 10Th inning with an inside the park Home Run, his 6Th shot of the season. He finished off 2-5 and now has 45 RBIs, hitting .307.

**Jhonny Peralta, Cleveland Indians- Jhonny went 2-4 at the plate, he hit a double, drove in 4 runs, giving him 77 RBIs and he is now hitting .277.

**Jorge Cantu, Florida Marlins- Jorge went 2-4 with a walk, he hit his 15Th Home Run of the season, drove in 5 runs, giving him 95 RBIs and is hitting .282.

**Aaron Hill, Toronto Blue Jays- Hill had 1 hit, but he made that count, hitting a 2 run Home Run, his 32Nd of the season, with the 2 runs he drove in, he has 96 RBIs and is hitting .289.

**Josh Beckett, Boston Red Sox- Josh threw 5 innings in a rain shortened game, he gave up 1 run, (1 earned), he walked 1, and struck out 4. Josh wins the first game since August 12Th and now has 15 wins with a 3.82 ERA.

**Miguel Tejada, Houston Astros- Not much offense in this game, so this goes to the man that gave the Astros the lead for good, he went 1-3 and hit his 11Th Home Run of the season, drove in 2 runs, giving him 74 RBIs and is hitting .300.

**Ichiro, Seattle Mariners- 2-5 with a walk, he hit his 9Th Home Run of the season, drove in 38Th RBI and is now hitting .355.

**Casey McGehee, Milwaukee Brewers- Casey went 4-5 at the plate, he hit 2 Home Runs, giving him 15 on the season, he drove in a career high 6 runs and now has 57 RBIs. Casey is hitting .306.

**Vicente Padilla, Los Angeles Dodgers- Padilla threw 6 sharp innings, he gave up 1 run (0 earned), he walked 3, struck out 5 and now has a 4.42 ERA.

**Nick Hundley, San Diego Padres- Nick earned the walk off walk, drove in his 22Nd run of the year. He is hitting .215 on the season.

Goofballs:

**A.J. Burnett, New York Yankees- A.J. settled down, but he put his team in the hole too much. He threw 7 innings, giving up 6 runs (6 earned), he walked 2, struck out 4 and gave up 2 Home Runs. He has a 4.33 ERA with 9 losses.

**Carlos Marmol, Chicago Cubs- Lost his 3rd game of the year, threw 1 inning, gave up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 2, struck out 1 and now has a 3.46 ERA.

**Ryan Madson, Philadelphia Phillies- Blew the save, and lost the game. He threw 1 inning, giving up 2 runs (2 earned), including the Home Run to Wright, he now has a 3.41 ERA.

**Ryan Franklin, St. Louis Cardinals- Ryan blew his 4Th save opportunity, he threw 1 inning, giving up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 2, struck out 2 and now has a 1.96 ERA.

**Twins Offense- They only could score 2 runs, 6 hits, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts, and left 3 men on base.

**Angels Offense- 3 runs on 13 hits, leaving 10 men on base. Had their chances to score runs, just couldn't do it.

**Dusty Hughes, Kansas City Royals- Dusty lasted just 1/3 of an inning, giving up 3 runs (3 earned), he walked 1, struck out 1 and now has a 4.50 ERA.

**Marco Estrada, Washington Nationals- Marco threw 2 1/3 innings, gave up 5 runs, (5 Earned), he walked 3, struck out 4 and now has a 19.29 ERA.

**Fernando Rodney, Detroit Tigers- Rodney lost the game, he gave up 2 runs (2 earned) in 2/3 of an inning, he now has a 4.00 ERA.

**Wade Davis, Tampa Bay Rays- Wade threw 2 2/3 innings, giving up 8 runs, (8 earned), he walked 4, struck out 3 and now has a 8.38 ERA.

**Pirates Offense- scored just 2 runs, 9 hits, and left 9 men on base.

**Kevin Millwood, Texas Rangers- Kevin threw 3 2/3 innings, giving up 5 runs (5 earned), he walked 2, struck out 4, lost his 10Th game and now has a 3.94 ERA.

**Diamondbacks Offense- 2 runs on just 7 hits, they walked 1 time, struck out 11 and left 5 men on base.

**Giants Offense- 1 run on 4 hits, they walked 3 times, struck out 9 and left 6 men on base.

**Franklin Morales, Colorado Rockies- Franklin threw 1/3 of an inning, he walked 3, including losing the game on a walk. He now has a 2.75 ERA.
